Privacy Policy

Writing Guru (“we”) runs this website. This page says what we collect, why we use it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Writing Guru, founded by Sudhir Kumar. 880/2, 3rd Floor, Opposite Rajhans Plaza, Kala Pathar Rd, Nyay Khand 2, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh 201014. Phone and WhatsApp: +91 99717 85004.

What we collect

• When you book a free trial class: your name, WhatsApp number, area or city, who the classes are for, the language, and whether you want classes at home or online.
• When you send a page for a free handwriting check: the photo you send us on WhatsApp.
• When you register: the student’s name, date of birth and gender, the parents’ names, the school and class, two mobile numbers, your email and address, the plan and class mode you choose, a referral code if you have one, your instructions, and two photos of the student’s handwriting. We email you a confirmation. The photos are private: only Writing Guru’s admins see them.
• When you call or message us: what you tell us.

We ask only for what we need to call you back and arrange classes.

Why we use it

To call or message you about the classes you asked for, to arrange and run those classes, and to answer your questions. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them to advertise to you.

Students’ handwriting

We show a student’s before and after handwriting on this website only after a parent says yes (or the student, for adults), and only with the first name and the first letter of the surname.

Student accounts

To confirm with Writing Guru before launch.

Students and their parents can log in on this website with a code sent by SMS to the mobile number we hold for the student.

• What we keep: the student’s name, the parent’s name, mobile number and email, age group, class, language, area, plan and dates, and our notes on the classes. Photos of the student’s handwriting pages. Each login code, for 5 minutes only. We keep the school’s name only if the parent agrees to show it on the website.
• Who sees it: Writing Guru’s admins, and the student (and their parent) for their own page only. A text message company (MSG91) carries the login code to the phone.
• Photos: private. They are shown on this website only after a parent says yes (or the student, for adults).
• Deletion: ask us and we will delete the student’s account, details and photos.

Who else sees it

• WhatsApp (Meta), when you message us there.
• Mastheads, who build and look after this website and its enquiry records for us.
• Resend, which sends our emails: the confirmation of your registration and login links.
• The services this website runs on: Cloudflare (hosting), Google Fonts, Google Maps on the contact page, Trustindex, which shows our Google reviews, and Google Analytics, which counts visits to our public pages (the pages viewed, the device and a rough location) with a cookie. When a page loads, they may receive your device’s IP address, under their own privacy policies.

We share your details with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While you are asking about or taking classes with us, and for a short time after, so we can answer follow-up questions. Ask us and we will delete it sooner.

What you can ask

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it: call or WhatsApp +91 99717 85004. Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, gives you these rights.

Children

Many of our students are children. We take a child’s details only from a parent or guardian.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
